Which type of reports are provided by Blackbox?

Following reports are automatically generated on the designated email and/or Console.

  1. Outgoing and Incoming Mails Report (if emails are routed through BLACKbox)
  2. Outgoing and Incoming Mails Copy (if emails are routed through BLACKbox)
  3. BCC Mail Delivery Notification Report (if emails are routed through BLACKbox)
  4. Internet Access Details Report (if the internet is shared through BLACKbox)
  5. Drives Access Details Report (if USB read & write and allowed and report is set)
  6. Backup Report (on scheduled backup task)
  7. DCDR (Cloud) Backup Report Summary (if subscribed to DCDR)
  8. File Modification Logs (It can be viewed on Console only and exported in Excel)
Is it possible to identify the device from which the BLACKbox data is accessed?

Yes. The file Audit Trail log shows the IP address and user id in the logs, along with the type of operation and date time stamp for the given file or folder path.

Is it possible to identify the MAC ID or location of the device from which the BLACKbox data is accessed remotely?

No, it is not possible to identify the MAC ID or location of the device from which the BLACKbox data is accessed remotely. However, it is advisable to allow remote access to BLACKbox data only through a VPN.

How can files deleted from different folders be restored to their respective folders?

BLACKbox gives a log for the deleted files on the console. This log consists of the path from which each file was deleted. The recycle.bin power user can simply copy-paste the file to the original folder.

Does BLACKbox generate a report for the resources (CPU, RAM, Storage, Network) utilized by the console?

No. There is no report generation for utilization of resources like CPU, RAM, Storage and Network. But, BLACKbox sends an email alert if the system is overheated or the storage is full by a certain percentage.
