How is User Licensing Policy defined in BLACKbox?

The number of named users created or the number of devices on which the BLACKbox agent is installed, or the total number of BLACKbox agents installed – whichever is higher is considered the number of licenses utilised.

BLACKbox is available in different models, i.e. 12, 20, 40, 70, 90, 150, 200, 250, 300 users, and so on; each having different storage capacities.

Does BLACKbox provide a business license for java?

No. A java business license is not required for the installation of BLACKbox. It requires the deployment of JRE, a freeware.

How many users are supported by BLACKbox?

The number of users supported by BLACKbox will equal the number of licenses bought.

What is the minimum number of licenses for which BLACKbox can be bought?
  1. BLACKbox Prime T and Turbo T are hardware plus software solutions that can be bought for a minimum of 12 users.
  2. BLACKbox Duo is a software solution in a lot of 5.
  3. BLACKbox AAA is a software solution available in a lot of 3.
  4. BLACKbox DHSS is a software solution with a minimum of 100 users.
What kind of licensing terms does BLACKbox have with Microsoft?

BLACKbox does not have any licensing terms with Microsoft. Many customers use BLACKbox to avoid the cost of a Windows Server License for AD, Client Access License, and File Server.

Is there a need to buy a BLACKbox license for users who do not need to share any folders and files but need only Active directory authorization?

BLACKbox License is not about folder sharing. Any data residing on BLACKbox can be accessed by the computer system, which is installed with the software agent of BLACKbox.
The number of named users created, the number of agents installed, or the number of computers accessing BLACKbox – whichever is higher- is considered the number of licenses utilized.

How does BLACKbox work for existing thin client users on the smart station and N computing server?

All the thin client users’ profiles will be loaded on the thin client server.
